Mechanical design has been divorced from reality.

Since the 1970s, humanity has forgotten how to build great things. At Dirac, we're reuniting the worlds of engineering and manufacturing to bring humanity back to the future.

Who are we?

We are a team of builders. We're aggressively pursuing a future for humanity that is driven by abundance.

Who are you?

You are an engineer and adventurer, ready to own the machine learning and AI portion of our first product. You don't like the world as it is today and are ready to execute on a better future. You're excited to change the way builders build, to enable the next generation of humanity's finest to build the future around us.

Responsibilities

You will be responsible for designing, developing, and integrating software systems that enable the first platform to codify the theory of mechanical engineering.
Design custom ML architectures to classify 3D parts from CAD data and user input
Work with clustering and LLM algorithms to elicit meaningful, semantically relevant information from geometric inputs
Build out robust models to train ML systems on ever-accumulating data
Implement efficient storage mechanisms and transmission pipelines for processing large amounts of geometric and textual data
Work closely with cross-functional teammates, including frontend and computational geometry engineers as well management to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree and 3+ years of development experience in a machine-learning focused role
Experience developing complex ML systems using Python (numpy, tensorflow, pytorch, scikit-learn, etc.)
Knowledge of modern ML and AI techniques, such as deep learning, transformer network architectures, and maximizing such algorithms in a large scale production setting.
Familiarity with AWS Ecosystem (DynamoDB, S3, API Gateway, etc.)
Familiarity with Linux/OS X command line, version control software (git), and general software development principles with a machine learning software development life-cycle orientation
Experience or willingness to learn TypeScript, HTML and other web development skills
Expert-level knowledge of data structures and algorithms
Effective communication, comfortable working jointly on projects
Self-sufficient and proactive
Strong problem solving skills

Nice to have

Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, or automotive industries
Experience developing a CAD or CFD application
Experience analyzing and optimizing application runtime performance
Experience developing web, SAAS applications
Experience running a team
