About the Role

The MBA Strategy & Operations Intern will partner with our executive team and portfolio company leaders to drive strategic initiatives, operational improvements, and organizational buildout across our platform. This role combines strategy consulting-style problem solving with hands-on operational execution. You'll work on high-impact projects ranging from portfolio company turnarounds to platform-level infrastructure development to M&A integration planning.

Key Responsibilities

Portfolio Company Operations

  • Conduct operational assessments and develop improvement roadmaps for newly acquired companies
  • Build frameworks and playbooks for common operational challenges (sales process optimization, customer success buildout, support efficiency)
  • Support portfolio company leadership teams with execution on strategic priorities

Platform & Infrastructure Development

  • Design and document operational processes, frameworks, and best practices for software consolidators
  • Build internal tools, templates, and resources to scale platform capabilities (e.g., RevOps playbooks, pricing frameworks, integration checklists)
  • Support talent acquisition and organizational design initiatives across portfolio companies
  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting systems for portfolio performance monitoring

Strategic Initiatives

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform build vs. buy vs. partner decisions
  • Support cross-portfolio initiatives (shared services, technology consolidation, procurement optimization)
  • Analyze operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across the portfolio
  • Prepare executive presentations and board materials on strategic topics

Integration & Post-Acquisition Value Creation

  • Lead workstreams in post-acquisition integration (Day 1 readiness, 100-day plans, synergy capture)
  • Develop integration playbooks and refine best practices based on lessons learned
  • Support change management and communication planning for portfolio company transformations

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently enrolled in a full-time MBA program (Class of 2026 or 2027)
  • 3-5+ years of pre-MBA experience in strategy consulting (MBB preferred), operations, or high-growth tech companies
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to structure ambiguous problems
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to distill complex analyses into clear executive presentations
  • Project management experience with ability to drive multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Comfortable working directly with executives and portfolio company leadership teams

Preferred

  • Prior consulting experience at top-tier firms (McKinsey, Bain, BCG) or equivalent
  • Operating experience at software/SaaS companies (product, go-to-market, operations roles)
  • Exposure to private equity portfolio operations or value creation strategies
  • Experience building frameworks, processes, and organizational infrastructure
  • Familiarity with RevOps, sales operations, or customer success best practices
