The Mission

Own the hardest operating challenge in the portfolio. That could mean embedding at a portfolio company going through a turnaround, an integration, or a leadership transition. It could also mean stepping in as interim CEO or COO when a company needs direct leadership. This is a hands-on role. You are not advising. You are provide direction and leadership toward achievement of the firm's mission, strategy, and fiscal goals.

What You'll Do

  • Driving revenue, enhancing operational efficiency, managing customer and employee experience, and improving financial performance.
  • Own value creation across ARR growth, net retention, pricing, customer migration, margin expansion, and M&A integration.
  • Rebuild or strengthen the leadership team quickly and hold it to a high standard.
  • Build AI-enabled, automation-first processes that reduce manual work, increase transparency, and improve decision quality.
  • Establish the operating cadence, metrics framework, and board reporting rhythm.
  • Hire, train, and develop a lean, high-caliber operations team as volume grows.

What We Are Looking For

Must-haves

  • CEO or COO operating experience at a PE-backed software business, with demonstrable value creation results across at least one full hold.
  • A leadership style grounded in integrity, accountability, and people development
  • A track record of driving value through multiple levers at once - growth, retention, repricing, cost discipline, integration.
  • Ability to earn trust fast with founding teams, existing employees, and PE sponsors simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience operating across multiple PE-backed companies in a portfolio context.
  • Board-level experience as a member.
  • Prior Operating Partner or structured PE operating program experience.

What We Offer

  • Competitive annual compensation of $400,000–$1,000,000, including base salary, bonus opportunity, and equity upside in operating companies
  • Remote-first with travel to portfolio companies as the work demands
