M&A Integration Lead (US)
Emergence Software
About Emergence
We're a thematic holding company backed by the Pritzker Organization focused exclusively on acquiring and scaling category-defining software businesses. Our structure organizes investments into focused portfolios that function as specialized operating groups, each developing deep domain expertise, proven operational playbooks, and long-term partnerships with founders and management teams.
We combine operational rigor with a growth equity mindset—partnering closely with leadership teams to drive sustainable ARR growth, profitability improvements, and industry-leading customer outcomes.
Our current investment portfolios include:
- Emergence Mobility Technologies (AutoTech) – Next-generation vehicle acquisition and inventory management platforms
- Emergence Healthcare Technologies (HCIT) – High-efficiency billing optimization, patient engagement, and clinical care software
- Emergence Container Technologies (Cloud Infrastructure) – Modern DevOps, observability, and secure cloud performance tools
- Emergence Procurement Technologies (Supply Chain Tech) – Procurement, logistics, and manufacturing visibility systems
The Role
- We're hiring an M&A Integration Manager to run execution across active post-close integrations for Emergence portfolio acquisitions. You will work under the Head of M&A Integration and own day-to-day workstream coordination for multiple deals at a time, working directly with portfolio company leadership, Operating Partners, and functional leads.
- This is not an entry-level project management role. We are specifically looking for people who have worked inside dedicated M&A integration programs — IMO or PMO structures at consulting firms, PE-backed companies, or high-velocity acquirers — where integration was its own discipline, not a side project of IT or Finance.
- Between active deals, you build: templates, intake questionnaires, control checklists, and playbook updates that make the next integration faster.
What You'll Do
- Own Day 0 through Day 90 milestone tracking for assigned integrations: intake questionnaires, integration plan maintenance, status updates
- Facilitate post-close handover calls between deal teams, Operating Partners, and portfolio company management
- Build and maintain integration plans with milestones, owners, deadlines, and RACI matrices
- Run integration governance cadence: weekly SteerCo prep, bi-weekly workstream syncs, accountability check-ins
- Coordinate standard vendor and service providers onboarding
- Work directly with portfolio company CEOs and functional leads throughout each integration
- Maintain and update integration playbooks after each deal
- Build templates and control checklists between active deals
What We're Looking For
Required
- 2–6 years of experience in post-acquisition integration — inside an IMO, M&A PMO, or dedicated integration practice at a consulting firm or PE-backed operator
- Experience should explicitly reflect M&A integration work, not general project management or IT implementation
- Demonstrated end-to-end ownership of 90-day integration plans — not participation on an integration team
- Experience managing steering committees, workstream leads, and executive stakeholders without direct authority
- Fluent English, written and verbal — daily calls with US-based executives are a core part of this role
- B2B SaaS or software industry exposure
Nice to Have
- Big 4 M&A advisory experience (integration practice specifically)
- PE portfolio operations background
- PMP or equivalent project management certification
- Exposure to Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar financial systems at a coordination level
- Prior experience working with US and offshore-based teams
Why This Role
- You are one of the founding integration hires. You will build and shape the function as the portfolio grows.
- 10–15 acquisitions per year means consistent deal flow.
- Direct exposure to the Managing Partner and Operating Partners on every deal.
- As the team scales, you will manage Integration Leads and define how the function runs.
Work Arrangement
- Fully remote (US-based)
- Travel to portfolio companies during active integrations as needed
- Periodic in-person with the Emergence team expected
