About the role:
We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager join our growing team and help us build cutting-edge solutions for data teams.
As the Business Development Manager, you’ll own Foundational’s outbound program and be responsible for driving outbound sourced pipeline. You’ll help us rebuild the core outbound motion and relentlessly pursue leads, building trust with prospects and create meaningful connections that can become happy customers from the very first interaction.
As a company fostering innovation, you’ll use traditional methods such as cold calls, email, and social, while also exploring AI and other innovative outbound tactics.
This is an individual contributor however once you’ve built repeatable playbooks that can scale with headcount, you’ll be given the opportunity to hire, train and manage a team of Business Development Representatives.
What You’ll Do
Raise awareness and generate interest for Foundational through cold calling, emails, and social outreach to prospective customers
Develop a deep understanding of Foundational’s value proposition and products to effectively communicate their benefits to prospects
Leverage new tools like Clay, Apollo, Instantly and RB2B to rebuild Foundational’s outbound program from the ground up
Organize and implement a multi channel prospecting approach, maximizing your outreach efforts by developing and utilizing sequences that span across different mediums
Manage your own book of business and set the strategy for effective lead management
What You’ll Bring
Previous BDR or SDR background, with the ability to manage a high volume of accounts
Demonstrated ability to prospect and build pipeline, without assistance from inbound support
Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, visual), both for internal audiences and customer-facing messaging
Strong Work Ethic, so you can meet or exceeding our expectation of daily activity minimums of 120 activities. You’ll need to be self-motivated and disciplined, constantly pushing yourself to stay productive and focused
Adaptability and Problem-Solving skills, as every day will bring new challenges, and your ability to adapt and think on your feet is crucial. We’re doing something entirely new, and your ability to constantly refine your approach or find creative solutions to get in front of decision makers will be key
At Foundational, we’re transparent about our salary ranges for all US-based job postings, regardless of state. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, experience, and location, benchmarked against similar companies at our stage. The salary or OTE range for this position is $70,000 - $110,000. This role may also be eligible for commissions/bonus, equity, medical benefits, 401(k) plan, and other company perk programs.
