We are looking to build out the IT team with our first hire. This role can be adapted to a leadership or individual contributor role based on the candidate's goals and qualifications. You will be responsible for building and managing the IT stack on which our next-generation satellites will be built. You will have the ability to make critical decisions on our infrastructure and eventually help scale the IT team. Championing a security-first mindset, you will implement robust infrastructure and policies to support our growing business.
Responsibilities

Compliance and Security
Oversee all compliance and security-related activities and policies to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards such as NIST 800-171 / CMMC 2.0 / ITAR / ISO 27001 / AS9001
Manage the Facility clearance process and requirements
Act as the lead for general security infrastructure for software and hardware

General IT
Oversee device lifecycle management for our employees including office IT equipment and networks
Support On/Off-Boarding: prepare new hire hardware, maintain local inventory, and assist with new hire orientation
Manage local contracts and procurement of devices for both office and employee devices and any supporting software or SaaS applications
Triage IT/Helpdesk requests in service management systems and in-person assistance
Create, document, and implement standard operating procedures

Mission Operations
Define the architecture for mission networking and command/telemetry integration with commercial ground segment
Downselect commercial ground segment providers
Lead integration of encryption hardware into mission network and ground segment including system testing
Qualifications
+3 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment
Strong experience in security and compliance including NIST 800-171 and ITAR
Highly proficient in Linux, Active Directory and Group Policy, O365, Azure, AWS, and TeamCenter
Previous experience working in IT infrastructure and support
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
Compensation and Benefits:
Base salary range for this role is $125,000 - $175,000 + equity in the company
Salary will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: knowledge and skills, education, and experience level

ITAR Requirements
To conform to U.S. Government space technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
