Build Engineer (Satellite Integration)

The Role
As a Build Engineer, you’ll support the build of several subsystems for the Gravitas mission, K2’s first flight of the Mega class satellite. You’ll partner with Production to develop the build flow for your systems and help identify opportunities to increase build efficiency. Our ideal candidate is able to juggle competing priorities and interact positively with a wide array of people.
Responsibilities
Develop integration planning and build flows for several vehicle systems
Work closely with production to implement solutions that increase build efficiency
Collaborate with engineers and technicians to disposition nonconformances and evaluate any corrective actions
Support proto-qual testing
Evaluate proposed designs for manufacturability and integration
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, aerospace, mechanical, computer, or other engineering discipline
2+ years of experience in an integration engineering role (includes internships and hardware-intensive extracurricular projects)
Experience creating, improving, or deleting production process and workflows
Experience interacting with CAD software and CAD models
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills
Expert multitasking skills with the ability to juggle priorities while maintaining focus to deliver against program goals
Nice to Have
Experience working in a clean room and with ESD-sensitive equipment
Experience or exposure in a test or automation role
Experience with GraphQL
Proficient in Python and/or Rust
Experience with Linux systems
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $135,000 + equity in the company
Salary will be based on several factors including, but not limited to: knowledge and skills, education, and experience level
