About Kontempo

We’ve built the first payments and credit software designed specifically for Mexico’s leading industrial companies. We noticed that most suppliers of plastics, chemicals, concrete and glass (to name a few) used software to run their logistics operations, accounting processes, and sales functions but almost none had modern software to power their credit and collection systems. So we set out to change this, believing that a critical function that involves risk of financial loss and can also help close a big sale should be powered by the latest technologies and not run on slow, outdated spreadsheets or paper notebooks (yes, we’ve actually seen this).
Having launched just over a year ago, we are moving fast to tackle this massive opportunity of the $300 billion market for trade credit in Mexico. We’re already working with thousands of companies across the country and are steadily growing our team of experts in technology, risk and supply chain finance. We’re also backed by top global VC investors who’ve provided us with over $30 million in capital to fuel the growth of our business.

About you

You’re a strategic-minded, hands-on operator with a strong track record of driving B2B growth within a financial services, information technology, or software company. You love the challenge of unlocking new growth channels, analyzing funnel metrics and optimizing conversion rates – but, at heart, you’re a marketer and salesperson. You’re a great communicator and a people person who is creative and unafraid to test new ideas. You’re looking to work with smart people and have fun building something great. You’re a data-driven & creative growth professional excited about leading and scaling our customer acquisition and retention efforts.

At Kontempo you’ll get to

Build and execute a flexible, replicable growth playbook to lead us toward our next stage of growth and capital raise.
Strategy: build and communicate a comprehensive growth marketing plan to help the business achieve its revenue goals.
Management: lead, develop and inspire a team of growth experts.
Research: analyze our current acquisition and retention strategies, research competitors and talk to our customers to help inform your strategy.
Stakeholder Management: work with a variety of stakeholders across sales, finance, marketing, development, operations and customer success to make sure plans and projects are communicated accordingly.
Optimize, and automate our current growth channels across paid media, affiliate, influencer, partnerships, offline, etc.
Identify, validate and optimize new channels for growth.
Experience managing external agencies / partners to hit highly aggressive month over month growth targets.
Spearhead an experimental approach to drive metrics, including A/B testing, rapid iteration and data analysis to make data-driven hypotheses.
Leadership for important metrics around growth, including conversion rates, activation rates, CAC (Customer Acquisition Cost), LTV (Lifetime value), and ROI (Return on investment).

What we’re looking for

5+ years of proven experience in marketing, sales or growth at fintech startups or within a financial services or B2B software company and a track record of outperforming quotas on a consistent basis.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives. Creative thinking and an innovative approach to complex problems.
Exceptional customer service skills and communication skills – both written and verbal
Able to work effectively with cross-functional team members in Risk, Product, Engineering and Operations.
Experience growing and managing an outbound sales team is a plus.
Excellent organization, time management, and prioritization skills.
Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in business, marketing, engineering, finance or other relevant field.
Fluency in Spanish and English.
